The TM300, sometimes referred to as the TrophyTimer, is the most cost effective, high quality, passive infrared trail monitor on the market today. The TM300 detects the combination of body heat-and-motion in the area it is monitoring. The area of sensitivity forms a wedge radiating outward in front of the monitor. This wedge is 65-ft. (20 m.) deep and spreads 150° wide. Any warm-blooded animal that moves within this wedge will register as an event. The TM300 can store one event per minute as long as the animal is moving within the area of sensitivity. By reviewing the event times, you will know how long an animal is present in the area.

TM300 passive infrared monitor can store over 1000 events by date and time in non-volatile memory. The TM300 is very easy to use. Three push buttons on the front of the monitor are used to control its many functions. The TIME SET button is used to set the initial time and date functions in the same way a digital watch is set. The SET UP button is used to verify the area in which heat-and-movement is being sensed. When the TM300 is in the SET UP mode, proper function is indicated by a blinking red light. The READ OUT ADVance (R/O ADV) button is used when reading out the data. Subsequent depressions on the R/O ADVance button will cause the date and time of each recorded event to be displayed in the large digital display. All TrailMaster monitors are weatherproof and tested to work from -40°F/-40°C to 130°F/55°C. The TM300 has an extended battery field-time of over one year. It is the most compact infrared trail monitor available. The TM300 is a passive infrared monitor; therefore, the range and sensitivity are not as well defined as its active infrared counterparts, the TM1000 and the TM1500. Although it is not possible to be game selective with passive infrared trail monitors, the TM300 is a dependable way to monitor an entire 65-foot (20 m) area. The TM300 has all of the advanced sensitivity controls that make TrailMaster passive infrared products the best in the world.

The TM300 has many of the same features it's big brother the TM550 has except that it will not work with a camera or any serial accessories.
